Social Security Processing Times

The SSA has released its ranking report listing the "average" processing times for SSA to set a hearing date on a disability claim. The "fastest" processing time occurs in the Boston hearing offices taking an average 376 days to set a hearing date on a claim. The national average was 523 days. The slowest times were in the Atlanta offices taking 848 days on average to set a claim for hearing, while the staff at the Dallas regional office were found to need 1050 days to set a hearing date on a SSA disability claim.
